Revolutionizing Medicine with AI: Opportunities and Challenges
With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, the healthcare industry is undergoing unprecedented transformation. AI has not only reshaped clinical diagnosis and treatment models, but has also made a significant impact in diverse areas such as medical education, policy-making, long-term care, sports and environmental health.
However, alongside these technological developments come important challenges, including medical ethics, privacy protection, and regulatory compliance. It is also essential to explore the applicability and potential of AI across various healthcare settings.
Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), along with its four affiliated hospitals, has long been committed to advancing local healthcare in Kaohsiung. Keeping pace with global trends, KMU has actively promoted the implementation of emerging medical technologies. The university has achieved outstanding results in talent cultivation, medical innovation, industrial upgrading, and the development of regionally distinctive healthcare services. With groundbreaking progress in global technology, building a smart healthcare city is no longer a distant dream. As a key player in the healthcare system of southern Taiwan, KMU is dedicated to advancing the practical application of relevant technologies and continues to engage in deep collaboration with global partners, rooted in Taiwan.
We firmly believe that KMU International Conference on BioMedicine serves as an effective platform to bridge the communication gap between domestic and international physicians and scholars, fostering mutual support and benefit in the global smart healthcare landscape. Together, we aim to realize and progress toward a new era in medicine.
To promote interdisciplinary academic exchange and explore innovative AI applications across various medical fields, this year's international conference is themed “Revolutionizing Medicine with AI: Opportunities and Challenges.” The program will cover a diverse range of topics, including core AI technologies, medical ethics and policy, cancer medicine and drug development, long-term care and metabolic diseases, as well as sports and oral health. We are honored to invite global experts, scholars, and clinical practitioners to join us in exploring the future of AI in medicine and addressing the challenges of real-world implementation.
A detailed list of sub-themes and topics for the call for papers will be updated soon to reflect the 2026 agenda.
